the incredibility of parents never cease to amaze me man. how can a father not have his son's hp number? and worse, how can the son not have his father's hp no?! it really shows how MUCH they communicate lah. my gosh. i'm suprised man. speechless in fact. whatever happened to emergency numbers on hp?!

i realised that the way my parents brought me up is very different from how my colleagues are bringing their kids up. that same colleauge whom i had written about (JC vs POLY), her son collected his O leve results today and gave her a call, just. he got 8 points (which to her is JUST ok. i don't really think she's estatic that her son's gotten single digit for his results). instead of congradulating him on a job well done (i happen to think it's really a good job), she asked how much did you get for english. granted he has had probs with english... but still.. getting a B3 is not much of a big deal. and when she found out he got a B3 - she followed up with a question 'how come english get B3?' wah! hello!!!!!!!!!!!!! already get 8 points leh. what the hell you want?! he passed his english right? and it's a B3 - which is not a bad mark what.

argh!!! if i had gotten 8 points when i did my Os - think my dad wld have bought me a car lah! and my mom wld cry tears of joy. wah lau! not a word of well wishing.. my goodnesss. sigh.. parents nowadays. i got 14 points and my parents were happy enough as it is loh. from 21 pts to 14 pts. it is an improvement. not a vast one but an improvement nonetheless. and i passed my maths with a B3 - from failing since pri 4 lah. gosh.. i don't understand why some parents are not easily satisfied with their kids' GREAT results. granted, we have to be pushed to be able to fulfil our potential. still. ARGH dunno why i'm irritated even. also not my son. all i know is that when i have kids, i'm not going to be like my colleague. ~_~
